Since Leh is an altitude of 3500 meter above sea level hence due to high altitude, it is utmost importance that you walk or roam around in the town to prevent HAMS (high acute mountain sickness).
Post refreshment/acclimatization it is now time to get familiarized with your Machine (The Royal Enfield) as well as mountain traffic. After test ride we will return back to hotel, Evening at your leisure to roam around in the colorful market of Leh city.
The epic adventurous journey begins with visiting Leh town i.e. Hemis and Thikshey monastery.
A beautiful and magnificent Tibetan town located at a height of 3500m, this beautiful town has many historical sites to explore which helps you witness magnifique views of the entire city of Leh surrounded by the beautiful ranges of snow-capped mountains.
Today we will ride over world second highest mountain pass ‘Khardung la (5602m), Experience an astounding mixture of spectacular scenery, the most grueling mountain pass, and overwhelming beauty.
After visiting Khardung la, we will be descending towards Nubra valley (The land of Mongolian camels). On arrival at the camp check-in. Post refreshment proceeds to the desert, where you can experience the double-humped camel ride or spend quality time in the heart of cold desert.
Today off to Pangong Lake, en route visit the biggest statue of Buddha at Diskit. Pangong Lake is the largest salty water lake in Asia. This Lake situated on the Indian-Chinese border (at the height of 4360m above Sea level).
En route, we will stop at Shyok village for lunch with breathtaking view of high mountains, late afternoon reach at Campsite after refreshment at campsite witness the unforgettable Sun-set view at Pangong Lake.
Say goodbye to Pangong lake and ride begins towards Hanle to conquer the world highest motorable pass (5882m), we must start early from Pangong to reach Hanle before sunset. The ride going through the second highest optical telescope in the world following Chushul war memorial, Tsaga la and Rezang la. Dirt road prevails till Loma bend and provides one of the best off-road experiences.
Late afternoon reach at Hanle, it is one of the best landscapes, that you could not even imagine in your dream. Overnight stay at homestay/cottage at the remotest place.
On day 6th, the dream come true as today we will ride to the world highest motor-able pass “Umling la 5882m. It’s higher than Mount Everest Base Camp, which has been listed in Guinness Book of World Records (GWR). Experience the 360° view of Himalayan ranges.
On this special day we will start our ride morning at 7:30 am to reach Umling la before lunch. Throughout the ride this journey offers one of the stunning landscapes of Himalayan ranges. On reaching at Umling la, captures your daring achievements and realize the daring triumph of your endeavor. On the return will take another route via Photi la 5530m to reach back to our hotel in Hanle. This route is also provides a serpentine ride experience with different mountains views & landscapes.
On day 7th saddle-up and ride back to the capital city of Ladakh”, via Mahe bridge, on the way we cross many remote picturesque villages in chumathang valley, we stop at Upshi for lunch.
End of the day check-in at your pre-booked hotel in Leh town. Evening at your leisure to explore Leh market or get relax at the charming hotel.
Post breakfast ride begin towards Lamayuru (known as moonland). The route is most scenic going through the bank of Indus River. It’s approximately 115 kilometres long and offers breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
On the way stop at magnetic hill and confluence of Indus and Zanskar Rivers. Afternoon reach at Lamayuru. Post refreshment at hotel visit Lamayuru monastery one of the oldest and largest monasteries in the region.
High on Himalayas is the theme of the day as today we will ride on the toughest route of Zanskar valley. It is total wilderness with no human habitations except few tiny food stalls on the road.
Greenery totally disappears. Expect no traffic, barring the random Sumo/ Scorpio taxi (playing between Leh to Padum). This is truly a cliffhanger drive-the road cut out of the cliffs, hugging the River Zanskar which is in full spate.
Late afternoon reach at Padum (the principal town of Zanskar valley).
How quickly these 9 days of adventure expedition have passed. On day 10 we will ride towards Keylong, the last leg of the Ladkakh & Zanskar ride is a bit hard but with the best landscape. It takes time to cross Shinku la pass (5100m), picturesque grand mountain Gombo Rongjan (Mahakal) and few scenic villages i.e. Darcha & Jispa.
Afternoon reach at Keylong. On arrival at hotel check-in and get refreshed. Evening at your leisure.
Today we will starts towards Kaza, another spell of Trans-Himalaya journey. Keylong to Kaza is approx. 190 km and it’ll take at least (7-8 hrs.) to complete the journey because of its challenging terrain. It is definitely one of the most adventurous ride in the entire northern Himalayas but despite all encounter, it is also the most beautiful ride you’ll witness in a lifetime.
On the way we will take few stops for tea/snacks. On reaching Kunzum pass top 4590m we'll stop here and paying regards at Kunzum mata temple (the temple of goddess Kaali) for safe journey. This temple situated midst the snow covered mountains and blue sky will look completely enthralling.
Later we continue our ride towards Kaza via visiting Asia highest suspension bridge i.e. Chicham located above the Samba Lamba nallah. End of the day reach at Kaza hotel.
This day will starts with visiting Key Monastery the biggest monastery of Spiti Vallley. It is a lifetime spiritual experience, situated on a hill top, around 4165m above sea level.
Next, the incredible climb will take us towards the biggest statue of Buddha where you can witness the 360 degree view of Himalayan peaks. Later, we will continue ride through a single black serpentine tarmac towards Komic (world highest altitude motor-able village), spend some memorable moments admiring the Gaya Peak (6000m).
We will continue towards Hikkim village (It has world highest altitude post office 4440m). As evening falls, we will return to Kaza and call it for night.
Today tranquilly starts our ride towards Tabo, we will ride through the few unexplored ancient villages and monasteries i.e. Lallung monastery situated in Lingti valley lying at an altitude of 3700m. Next, continue towards Dhankar monastery 3900m, it’s a castle structure monastery on the cliff giving the breathtaking view of Spiti River. 360 degree topography from the monastery is an everlasting impression.
Leaving Dhankar towards Tabo, a historical Ajanta of Himalayas site situated at an altitude of 3280m. On arrival check-in at the pre-booked hotel nearby the monastery. Evening visit 1028 year old Tabo monastery ‘The place of happiness.
A fairytale journey begins as today we are heading to Kalpa situated in Kinnaur valley. En route admire the serenity of village life of Pooh & Sumdho. Interestingly, these scenic villages are situated on the bank of River Spiti.
Stop for lunch at the pretty and unspoiled town of Nako, an enchanting experience awaits you as we make our way towards Kalpa; an enchanting village nestled in the towering white blanket wrapped holy Kinnaur Kailash mountains.
After breakfast we proceeds towards Shimla (the capital city of Himachal Pradesh, known as summer capital of British Era), today ride going through the jaw-dropping beauty of Kinnaur valley, traverse apple orchards, on the way we stop at Sainj village for a brilliant food. End of the day reach at Shimla and check-in at pre-booked hotels.
After completing the sensational motorbike expedition, a farewell dinner with our cruise members while all participants share their memorable moments of Trans-Himalaya journey.
Today you will be free to visit the heart of the town, “The Mall Road” It is one of the busiest commercial areas of Shimla. It was built by the British during the colonial rule in India.
Entry of vehicles is banned hence people love to come this place to walk around for shopping and try a local cuisine. The Mall road market has a number of restaurants that offers a wide range of Indian and continental cuisines.
Today it’s time to say goodbye to mountains state and drive back to Delhi airport to catch the international flight with unforgettable memories and exciting stories to recount.
